welcome

S&B Bell Farms in Hodgenville, KY started out with a purely functional purpose: to make good use of land that we own. Over the months, the concept of alpaca farming has branched out to several other areas of farming. In order to run a sustaining farm, we realized that we needed to consider the interconnectedness of the land and the animals, and to provide the best environment that we can for both.

You're diversifying beyond mammals! What are the yellow spots in front of the concrete? At first I thought they might be bees, but they're too light and blurry. Are they part of a foreground plant?

So neat!!

When it’s super sloppy and gross and muddy at the farm… we still have “indoor” activities to keep us busy!!!

Tonight, we skirted almost 30 lbs of alpaca fleece from our handsome boys Aspen, Cypress, and Rowan 🦙

The good news is we will be doing a fiber drop to our mill this weekend, and we will have white alpaca yarn available again later this summer!

Farm friends are the absolute *best* friends.

This afternoon I noticed this gigantic swarm in one of my redbud trees - and I immediately texted Kellie from Grandview Farm. With her encouragement, we added just one more thing to that super long list of “never in my life could I imagine I would be doing this…”

We got this huge swarm settled into brand new hive #3, and now we have our fingers crossed they like their new home!!!

It's like a special effect from a movie! As if aliens had landed to see your farm. Which has become quite famous!

Our God is AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL!
